There is never one set reason for why we get ill, and whatever the reason for depression, general anxiety, and other varying mental illnesses, it doesn’t make them any less important than physical illnesses.

I share my experience of depression with you, aiming to offer you hope, compassion, support and solidarity.

I am also aware of my wellbeing, and how I can help myself to remain well. We have no health without good mental health.

I am always learning, and it makes sense that I share this with anyone who would like to understand more about an illness that isn’t logical.

And, as is the case with the majority of illnesses, we do recover. The pain ends, our symptoms improve and our good health returns. We once again feel joy ❤️
